A Little About Me
Hi there! I am Amber, a 29 year old mother of two who is living her dream of empowering others to take their health into their own hands and live a nourished life. I am a NSCA certified personal trainer, a triathlon coach, and the blogger behind Eat2SaveYourLife. I am just like you, trying to find a way to balance it all and embrace my passion.
A little bit about me, I grew up on swim team, and played sports all through high school, however that all change when I went to college. I fell into the rut of senseless elliptical training just to try and keep the freshmen 15 at bay. When it came to fitness I was bored and completely uninspired. Then something happened that would change the entire course of my life.
My mom had been talking about doing a triathlon for YEARS and I decided, let’s just do one! In 2008 I finished my first sprint triathlon, and that was it, I was hooked. I loved everything about the sport and wanted to learn all that I could. I began studying exercises science, and then nutrition. I loved learning, and then I loved teaching. I was the sports and nutrition guru amongst my peers, and I loved it. I loved igniting a passion for healthy living in those around me, I had found my calling. I founded a collegiate triathlon team and coached many of my members to their first triathlon finishes, seeing one of my athletes cross the finish line is one of my favorite things!
In 2013 I finished my first 70.3 at Lake Stevens Ironman, next on my list is the full Ironman. In 2014 fate would give me a little nudge, I was laid off from my boring office job, I was pregnant with my second child and I knew it would be hard to find another job. I decided to spend some time at home with my kids. But I missed sharing my fitness knowledge and answering my co-workers questions, and that is what sparked an idea that is now Eat2SaveYourLife.com I wanted to share my insights on a wider scale and help others find a way to fit good nutrition and fitness into their busy lives. Now I teach group fitness classes, do one on one training, and triathlon coaching, as well as blog right here at Eat2SveYour life. It has been one wild ride, and this is only the beginning, but I can truly say, I am living the dream.
